Friday 29 August 2014 @ 8:20 pm

Right around the time his massive mutant sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past was due to reach theaters, director Bryan Singer was slapped with a sexual assault lawsuit. The timing of the suit raised questions, and some of those still linger, even as the legal system granted a request to dismiss the case against Singer earlier this week.

U.S. district judge Susan Oki Mollway granted a motion filed by Bryan Singer’s accuser, Michael Egan, for voluntary dismissal in U.S. District Court in Hawaii on Wednesday, according to The Wrap. This was the latest step in a …

MacGruber 2 Has An Outline, Might Actually Happen

Friday 29 August 2014 @ 7:30 pm

While MacGruber wasn’t a hit at the box office or with critics, the action-comedy’s reputation has grown in the years since its release. But could fan fervor lead to MacGruber 2? It’s would-be star Will Forte weighs in.

While promoting his upcoming release Life of Crime, Will Forte offered an update on the development of MacGruber 2. Speaking to Collider, he said:

“I’m very proud of that movie. (Director) Jorma [Taccone] just sent an outline for MacGruber 2. We had worked together on something and I had fleshed out the first act of MacGruber 2. He took that and went nuts on …

Friday 29 August 2014 @ 7:16 pm

As the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is starting to reach peak saturation on the internet, we need to remember that the philanthropy (and the challenges) shouldn’t stop there. As you’ll see in the video above, James Gunn has not only taken The Groot Challenge, he’s …

Jesse Eisenberg Dances Around Batman V Superman Questions, Tries To Describe Lex Luthor

Friday 29 August 2014 @ 5:19 pm

There are a few different ways that an actor can approach the media when he or she is part of a massive superhero movie franchise. They can be open, honest and upfront with journalists. (See: Hugh Jackman.) They can tactfully decline to answer pointed questions, out of concern for revealing spoilers. (See: Most of the well-coached Marvel alums.) Or they can gracefully dance around questions with wordy but completely empty answers, as Jesse Eisenberg brilliantly manages below.

The actor is being interviewed by Total Film (via ComicBookMovie) about his role in the movie Night Moves, but the journalist shot out …

Wesley Snipes Believes Blade 4 Is A Go

Friday 29 August 2014 @ 5:11 pm

At the peak of his career, Wesley Snipes delivered a gift unto the cinematic world that would be his crowning achievement. That gift was the double tap we call Blade and Blade II, which not only gave Snipes a career-defining role that he would cash in on with two sequels, but also kept comic movies alive after Batman And Robin tried its best to kill them. Unfortunately, between Wesley Snipes’ tax problems and the horror that was Blade: Trinity, the series gave way to a crappy Spike TV series and eventually died. Now that comic movies are cool, and vampires …

Watch Pixar’s Singing Volcano In First Look At Their New Short

Friday 29 August 2014 @ 5:21 am

Back in June, I had the pleasure of attending a special Pixar presentation in Los Angeles largely geared towards giving members of the press an early look at the upcoming feature film Inside Out… but that wasn’t the only title on display that day. We were also the first audience outside of the animation company to watch Lava, the studio’s newest short. Sadly, it will still be a long time before the project will be arriving in theaters, but the good news is that today we have a very special first look.

The clip does a pretty great job setting …
